Description
The Queen Victoria Building was designed in Romanesque style by George McRae and completed in 1898. Built as a market incorporating coffee shops, a concert hall, and showrooms, the building fell into disrepair until it was restored in 1986. Features include a large central dome, arched windows, stained glass, colonnades, balustrades, and cupolas, making both the exterior and interior very ornate.
