Description

Ulveflokk are a Viking re-enactment group based in Maleny, Queensland. It was established by Elizabeth (Hlif) of The Happy Viking store and Ulf. The group concentrate on the period 800-1100 and the interaction between Norse/Viking and Scottish Celtic culture in Galloway Bay (Galloway derives its name from the Gall-Ghàidheil or foreign(Norse)-Gaels) which led to a hybrid culture often referred to as Hiberno-Norse. The group, or clan, re-create all aspects of daily life, including craft, cooking, trade, combat, and games. Ulveflokk is Norwegian for ‘wolf-pack’. Their logo features the heads of two wolfs joined by a Norse-style ring-knot.
