Awl Leather is a company started by craftsman Bruce Erskine in 1991 and based in the New South Wales town of Bellingen that creates leather goods. Amongst their collection are a number of medieval shoes, some of which are based on actual medieval shoes discovered during archaeological excavations. For example, they sell a Coppergate Shoe based on the shoe found during the excavation of the Viking-Age Coppergate district in York, England.
