A photograph of the former Salvation Army headquarters building in Pier Street in the Perth CBD. The Flemish bond brick and stucco building in Federation Free style was built in 1899, eight years after the Salvation Army began to operate in the colony of Western Australia. Medieval features of the building include a fortified tower and extensive crenellation.
