Flat wooden shield designed as a wall plaque, painted with the heraldic crest of Oxford University. The crest features an open book bearing the motto 'Dominus illuminatio mea' , with two crowns above the book and one below. The top of the shield, which is cut from a single piece of wood, includes an inverted 'V' ending in a voided ring which allows it to be displayed on a wall.
