&lt;p&gt;St. Joseph&amp;rsquo;s Roman Catholic Church in  Subiaco,  Western Australia was designed  by architect Edgar L. B.  Henderson and  built by C. W. Arnot between  1933 and 1937. It is  constructed from red  brick and pressed cement in an  inter-war gothic  style common of the  1920s and 1930s. It exhibits many  features common  to gothic  architecture, including pointed gothic arches,  lancet  windows,  elaborate bar tracery in the stained glass windows and  blind  tracery on  the tympana of the doorways, and a large tower and  spire.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;div class="element-text"&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;The windows of St Joseph&amp;rsquo;s are a mixture of the early gothic  style   single (or standalone), lancet windows, collections of two or  three   single windows positioned side by side, and also the later gothic  trend   of enclosing multiple lancet windows beneath one arch and  separating   them with mullions to form larger windows and allow for more  light to   enter the church.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;In 2001, the church and presbytery were placed on the Heritage list for WA.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

                <text>An image of St. Patrick's Convent School located on South Street in York, a town ninety minutes south east of Perth in Western Australia.&#13;
&#13;
The school was built in 1873 by Father Patrick Gibney for the Sisters of Mercy. The Sisters of Mercy taught children of all ages, as well as music, reading and writing for young adults. When they left York, it was converted into one of the oldest libraries in WA. This building embodies features that are typically characteristic of the Gothic Revival style of architecture, which was popular in the United Kingdom, Australia and other British colonies in the nineteenth century. As an architectural style, it is based on the close examination of medieval structures, and a concern with 'authenticity' of design. This style is often symbolic of conservative qualities such as, continuity, stability, religious authority and tradition.&#13;

At present, the building is privately owned and opens as an Antique shop on weekends. </text>

                <text>&lt;p&gt;These two photographs show the entrance of St John&amp;rsquo;s Anglican Church in Launceston. The original church was designed by David Lambe and built by convict labour in 1824-5. From 1902 extensive alterations were made under the direction of architect Alexander North (1858-1945), resulting in the red brick building with large rose window and elaborate arched doorway seen in these photograph. The Gothic-styled entrance features pointed arches and niches on either side of the entrance. Towers with buttresses flank the entrance, and there are lancet windows above the rose window.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

                <text>These two photographs show the entrance to St Patrick's Cathedral in Melbourne, Victoria. The elaborate porch has an arched entrance and includes sculptures of human heads as well as a tracery grill. St Patrick&amp;rsquo;s Catholic Cathedral was designed by English-born architect William Wardell and incorporated parts of an earlier church on the site. Although the foundation stone was laid in 1858, the cathedral was not consecrated until 1897, and was only completed in 1939. A major component of the festival are displays of &amp;lsquo;Living History &amp;amp; Medieval Re-enactments&amp;rsquo; which take place all day on the &amp;lsquo;Field of Honour&amp;rsquo;. The festival website promises Celts, Saxons, and Vikings, and medieval re-enactment groups who performed at the 2012 festival were The Knights of Germanica (Holy Roman Empire from 1360-1410), Scions of Mars (15th century knights), Ormsgard Dark Age Village (hunters and traders of 400-1000), Damascus (Crusader Knights Hospitalier), Saga Vikings, Rafnheim (late migration age Northern Europe), and Black Wolf (Crusades). The groups dress in period costume, perform with weapons, and re-enact other aspects of medieval culture such as trade, village life, and pre-Christian religion.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

The group were founded in 2006 and are headed by &amp;lsquo;Sir Justyn Webb&amp;rsquo;. Eslite d&amp;rsquo; Corp is based on a quote attributed to the courtier composer Guillaume de Machaut to King Philip VI of France, advising him to only accept the best men into his army for the war against Edward III of England. The group concentrate on the period 1340-1380 and re-create the art, combat, music, costume, craft, dance, food, and tournaments of that era. Eslite d&amp;rsquo; Corps perform at various Queensland events.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
