Description An account of the resource <p>The article &lsquo;The bride wore&hellip; a sword&rsquo; by reporter Hannah Martin appeared in the online version of the Tasmanian newspaper The Mercury. The article reports on a medieval &lsquo;Celtic&rsquo;-style wedding of two members of the Society of Creative Anachronism. The Hobart couple were married at Port Arthur wearing specially made medieval costumes and brandishing a sword each. The also wore torcs, or neck-rings, an item occasionally found in the medieval period but more common earlier.
