The article reports on the discovery of a Viking burial ground in East Prussia dating from the ninth to eleventh centuries. The male burials were accompanied by a number of items, including swords and knives, whilst the female burials included various types of jewellery. The letter describes how the author chose their pen name as they grew up in Sweden (Svensk translates to ‘Swedish’) listening to older children read sagas about Viking exploits.
